About GoGerman
Flexible, personal, creative approach
Founded in 2021 on one conviction: the fastest way to learn a language is in a small, focused group with a teacher who genuinely has time for you.
“We wanted students to leave every lesson having actually spoken – not just listened.”

Why GoGerman
What makes us different?
There are plenty of ways to learn German. Here’s why students who’ve tried others keep coming back to us.
Group size
Groups of no more than 6 students
Smaller groups mean more speaking time, more direct feedback, and a pace that reflects the people in the room. We have kept this limit since we opened and have no intention of changing it.
Continuity
The same teacher throughout
Each student is assigned one teacher for the duration of their course. Over time, your teacher builds a clear picture of your progress, your weaker areas, and how best to help you improve.
Exam preparation
Built for passing exams, not just speaking
Fluency and exam readiness are different skills. Our courses develop exactly what Goethe, telc, FIDE, and SDS actually test. Preparation is structured, targeted, and based on what examiners look for.
Flexibility
In person or online, mornings or evenings
All course formats are available both in our classrooms and online. Scheduling options cover mornings, afternoons, and evenings to accommodate working students and those with variable schedules.
Certifications
Internationally recognized certifications
We prepare students for the main CEFR-aligned German language exams – the ones Swiss employers, universities, and immigration authorities accept.
telc Deutsch
telc Deutsch
Recognized across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. The telc B1 is commonly required for Swiss permanent residency and naturalization.
SDS
Schweizerischer Digitaler Sprachtest
State-recognized and officially accepted for naturalization, residence permits, family reunification, and other Swiss administrative procedures.
FIDE
Swiss Federal Authorities
The official Swiss exam required for permit C and naturalization. Focuses on practical everyday Swiss German situations.
Goethe-Zertifikat
Goethe-Institut
The most widely recognized German certificate worldwide. Accepted by Swiss employers, universities, and for residence applications.
Swiss Citizenship Exam Preparation
Swiss Citizenship
We also prepare students for the Swiss citizenship exam and naturalization process in Switzerland. Our lessons help you improve your German, practice important vocabulary, and feel more confident speaking about everyday life, Swiss culture, and integration topics.
Not sure which exam is right for you? During your free trial lesson, your teacher will assess your level and help you identify which certification is most relevant for your goals – whether that’s a job application, residency permit, or university admission.
